If you're a serious bibliofile or just a person who likes to read and values the economy of a high-quality used book, this is the place for you. If you make the trip to Merrill's bookshop, which I guarantee you won't regret, make sure to bring cash or your checkbook, this great shop doesn't take credit cards.

He is knowledgable and gregarious, equally quick with a reading recommendation or a joke. There are thousands of books under $10, so no one should feel intimidated to browse. But Merrill's is not just a friendly neighborhood bookshop. The selection of rare books is extraordinary. And the prices are fair: no gimmicky discounts or dishonest mark-ups. Yes, there are books here that I will probably never be able to afford, but not a single one is overpriced. No matter where you live, Merrill's is worth the trip.
