  10/10 recommend for all your arts and crafts needs and nearly everything in between. Shout out to Elena for going above and beyond to help us. We called ahead looking for a particular type of Strathmore 500 Bristol board that we desperately needed to make models for our architecture business. She was so very kind as to search high and low for it and put her hands on it to make sure she actually had it in stock before we drove the hour long drive to get there. And typically you might think “Well this is part of her job” and while it might very well be, once you’ve been to this store (or looked at all of my pics and videos) you’ll see how this might be a bit of a challenge. She took our number down, located the product, and promptly called us back. All of the employees that we saw were super nice and friendly, helpful. The store was HUGE, very neat and clean. Definitely well organized complete with everything under the sun. There was definitely a great deal of street parking in front and up and down both sides of the city block as well as a parking garage closer toward the back of the city block if you’re not good with parallel parking. Unfortunately they don’t have any public restrooms on site but there are plenty of places nearby to stop off if necessary. And there are also other locations you can visit. Pay this place a visit if you’re in need of anything ART. It’s definitely worth your while.

  I learned about this place from word of mouth. The person who helped me (short-ish white guy in his 60s) wasn't very welcoming, which I can definitely get over, but then was very patronizing about my lack of knowledge about custom framing pricing; he laughed in my face when I tried to take a guess about ballpark pricing (after asking if he could provide that ballpark, a question to which he gave no answer outside of "depends"). This was my first time trying to get something framed and I didn't know anything at all - maybe that's on me for not doing my research beforehand, I guess. I wish I hadn't spent my money there after all, but I work multiple jobs, my spare time is quite limited, and I really wanted to get this poster in a frame. I ended up buying a frame and doing it myself, but probably would have sprung $200 or so for the red frame that I really wanted had the service been better. I wouldn't go back or recommend to a friend.

  Awesome art supply store that has been a staple in the heart of Towson for many years. They have a wide selection of artist supplies and helpful staff. They also have a really nice selection of gifts (puzzles, notebooks, etc.) and kids art kits which are great for birthday gifts. They also do framing but I havent tried it yet.

  Explore Maryland - Plaza Artist Materials And Picture Framing Plaza Artist Materials has been serving artists since the summer of 1960 when Rubin Zelenko and business partner Hy Boss opened the first Plaza store on 58th Street in New York City, in an apartment building aptly named "The Picasso." Unparalleled customer service was as much a priority then as it is today. The owners prided themselves on the Plaza promise to deliver art supplies anywhere in Manhattan within an hour, no matter how big or small the order. Through the mid-1980s, Plaza focused on providing supplies to commercial customers in the New York tri-state area. In the early eighties, the second generation of the Plaza family continued the legacy of the founding partners, with Cliff Zelenko, Steve Caplan and Eric Zelenko leading the business. Starting with our Richmond, Virginia location in 1987, our company began to expand down the east coast and into the Midwest.
