  I stopped at this location to sell some items. After waiting several minutes and filling out the seller form, I was informed that I was required to remain in the store while they went through my items. I explained that I wasn’t aware of this policy and had an appointment to get to. I had hoped to leave the items with them so they could review them while I was gone, with the intention of returning afterward. The employee asked what time my appointment was, which I found unnecessary, but I provided the information. She then simply told me that I could come back later. I asked if I could keep the form I had already completed and bring it back with me so I wouldn’t have to fill out another one. She argued with me about this, explaining that I was number 13 on the form and that if other customers were checked in before I returned, I would no longer be number 13. I pointed out that the number was simply written in by the employee and asked if it could just be changed when I returned. She responded rudely, saying “fine,” and walked away. I understand that businesses have policies, and I have no issue following them when they are communicated in advance and logical. This situation felt unnecessarily argumentative and dismissive. I won’t be returning to this location.

  These people are RACIST SCAMMERS!!! I walked in with 4 big bags full of clothes that were mostly brand new and hardly worn and the things that did have a little wear to them were still in great shape, I don’t even think they fully went through everything before they said they couldn’t accept them. They only took 4 of my items and gave me $26 and one of those items was a pair of BRAND NEW Adidas work out shoes that I literally wore one time still in the box, and only $26 was given to me??? They did not pay me for the shoes I believe they just took them! I looked around the store and there were items with stains or items that only old lady’s would wear when they said they wanted “up to date modern styles” well that’s what I gave them and they did not want it but I believe it was a race thing. And it’s sad I’m 21 and the cashiers looked around the same age as me but they still discriminated against me, if a white woman brought those items in they would have took them no problem! And not to mention they didn’t want any of my shoes that all still have the boxes and barely ever worn some of them were still brand new! But it’s ok, I went down to Once Upon a Child and they took my size 4&5 shoes with no problem! DONT GO TO PLATOS!!

  I've been there a few times and the interaction wss very pleasant. This encounter, the Yound Mam seemed very angry and unpleasant. May have been having a bad morning.

  I’ve been making the trek to sell and buy here for years at least once a year. Every time I come we end up leaving with a pile of stuff we buy. I live over an hour away and always call before loading up my car and kids. I’ve always had a great experience here. Today I was told at the door after calling and making the hour drive that “It’s not my problem” with a nasty attitude that they weren’t buying anymore. I know Plato’s closet gets talked down on by their customer service but I was so disappointed to get it after being such a loyalist.
