I’ve been making the trek to sell and buy here for years at least once a year. Every time I come we end up leaving with a pile of stuff we buy. I live over an hour away and always call before loading up my car and kids. I’ve always had a great experience here. Today I was told at the door after calling and making the hour drive that “It’s not my problem” with a nasty attitude that they weren’t buying anymore. I know Plato’s closet gets talked down on by their customer service but I was so disappointed to get it after being such a loyalist.

I had 4 bags of items shoes, clothing, purses. After only 10 minutes waiting the manager called me to the counter and said she couldn't accept any of my very gentle used items, the tags where still on 90% of items. I believe they cater to a certain age and race. African American clothing and items aren't welcomed there. The manager even held up a DKNY boot of mine and asked her young worker will she buy this, and the worker said no. Very unpleasant experience. Do support them.

They are rude and disrespectful, didn’t take anything when I have brand names, also didn’t look through my whole bag. Don’t come here and waste your time

The store itself is very organized and I only go for the athletic wear but every time I go in to sell they say they can’t take any of my items after less than 5 minutes. It’s always stuff I don’t wear/ don’t get around to wearing so they have no wear but they’re freshly cleaned and folded. But every time they always say signs of wear or that’s it’s too old when there is no wear and it’s name branded stuff from less than a year ago, when they have shein and oh polly hanging up. They even had a dress missing the corset strings hanging up that I saw when I was waiting. In the off chance they take something it’s some actually an old piece like more than 5 years old and not trendy anymore. Don’t even get me started on the mens clothes… Again great to shop sucks to sell.
