  I had the pleasure of shopping at the Columbia Mall JCPenney store on June 30th. I wanted to give a shout out to two exemplary employees who were working in the men’s department that morning, Sinaa and Jenni. I was greeted pleasantly by Sinaa upon entering the store and her positive demeanor was much appreciated. I was then assisted by Jenni who without hesitation helped to find a shirt and made helpful suggestions. An average trip to the mall was made so special that day because of these two employees. You are both much appreciated!!

  My friends and I were caught in a rain storm going to a concert. As it was down pouring we sought refuge in the jcpenny for ponchos and my soaked socks and shoes. We walk in and the employee tells us where the shoes and coats are. As we are shopping an employee yells at us that the store is actually closed. I said, but the doors were open and the employee said we could shop still. Then three more employees follow in a train of shame and yell at us. They walk us to a door where there's no roof to protect us, shove us out and we end up more soaked than we began. 0/10 would not recommend, very wet now

  There was no Sale sign on the product that I was buying but it was on sale. The cashier helped me find an online coupon for additional savings. Overall, a very positive experience.

  We went for family portraits and they came out beautiful. The whole experience was enjoyable and the employees were very friendly. Our photographer was super patient with my busy 2 year old. Shout out to Ashley!

  Absolutely terrible experience at the JCPenney return and exchange counter at Columbia Mall. The cashier, supervisor, and manager were rude, accusatory, dismissive, and completely unprofessional from the moment I approached the counter. Instead of providing customer service, they chose to blame, interrogate, and profile me, making me feel humiliated and unwelcome. The store may have a good collection of products, but that means absolutely nothing when customers are treated with such disrespect. The behavior of the return and exchange team was shocking and unacceptable. Basic courtesy, professionalism, and respect were nowhere to be found. Needless to say, I will never return to this store. What makes this even worse is the generic management response talking about providing a “better experience in the future.” What about taking responsibility for and resolving the experience I had this time? An empty apology without accountability is meaningless. After being treated with suspicion, blame, and disrespect by multiple employees, I have absolutely no reason to give this store another chance. One bad employee can ruin a visit; when the cashier, supervisor, and manager all behave the same way, it reflects a deeply broken customer service culture. This location has permanently lost my business.
