  I’m genuinely very upset about this experience. I received a shirt as a gift from someone, and it was from J.Crew. I went in to exchange it from a medium to a small—nothing more, just an exchange. When I walked in, I was the only customer. The three employees were chatting at the front table—one on her phone, one on the computer, and one folding shirts. I stood at the return counter for around five minutes, completely ignored. I had to walk over and ask for help. They casually said, “Oh, we are here,” and only then helped. The employee gave me a small shirt. I tried it on. When I returned, she refused to exchange it because it had no tag. I asked if she could check the price from another tag—she refused again. She said they’d just put my shirt back on the floor, which I found completely unsanitary. She then said I had to return it at the store where it was purchased, contradicting her earlier refusal. In the end, it felt like she just didn’t want to help. I left feeling disrespected and frustrated.

  I had a great experience at J. Crew Factory on Tuesday night. The sales associate Zoe was super helpful and friendly even though I was there right before closing.
