  The employees are not very attentive or helpful. I walked around for an hour accruing a large pile of clothes and no one offered to start a fitting room for me. There wasn't even anyone around to ask for help. I started myself a room and left to get some more things, maybe 5 minutes of browsing. I go back to my room and the door is locked with my items gone. Finally I found a person and asked what happened. She explained unapologetically that she wasn't sure if anyone was there so she put everything back. They moved extremely quickly to clear the room, but an hour wandering in the store and no one did anything. It was so frustrating I just walked right out without trying anything on. Honestly not worth the effort to go to this location. You'd have a more comprehensive customer service experience just shopping on your computer. Only leaving a star because returns are very easy.

  Came here to get a suit a few days ago. The staff in the men’s suit department were generally quite dismissive and had poor customer service skills. I was made to feel uncomfortable for simply asking for help, which made the experience unnecessarily unpleasant.

  I would like to express my sincere appreciation to Jaylnn for the outstanding service she provided while helping me select a perfume.   My sister and I were very disappointed with the service we received at the Montgomery Mall location women’s shoe department (Manager Ariel). A pair of shoes had been placed on hold and we were assured they would be available the following day, but when we returned, we were told they had been sold. We were disappointed that no effort was made to check availability or provide alternatives, especially since the shoes appeared to still be available online. No apology was made. She was very rude and dismissive. We believe the poor treatment was given because we wore hijab, as we observed other individuals were treated respectfully. As longtime Nordstrom customers, we expected better communication and customer service. We frequently shop at the Tysons Corner Nordstrom location, where we consistently receive excellent service. We hope this Nordstrom takes this feedback seriously and provides additional training to ensure all customers receive the respectful and customer-focused experience they deserve. We also need to mention we truly appreciate Sean, the men’s shoe department manager, for stepping in and providing respectful, patient, and professional assistance.
