- MRMichael Volodymyr RileyJun 18, 20261.0I’ve spent a significant amount of money at this Sunglass Hut location. I purchased a pair of Ray-Ban sunglasses for $420, and a second pair for $125 (on sale from $250). I was happy with the service on the day of purchase — the associate was polite and helpful. Since the exact lenses I wanted weren’t in stock, the associate suggested we order them online and have them shipped to my home. I agreed, thinking it was a convenient solution. When the second pair arrived, the lenses were much darker than they appeared online — so dark you couldn’t see my eyes. I decided to return them. They were in perfect, unopened condition. When I originally asked the associate how long I had to return them, he told me 30 days. However, when I came back to return the glasses, he suddenly told me that customized or special-order items cannot be returned — something he claims he told me at the time of purchase. I have no memory of that conversation happening. There’s no way to prove who’s right at this point — but I lost $125 on glasses I never wore, in perfect condition, simply because of what may have been a miscommunication. Be very careful here. The sales experience may be pleasant, but if something goes wrong with your purchase, you may find yourself with no recourse. Always get the return policy in writing before placing any special orders.
