  Manager Vicki was such a blessing to my family! My 3 children and I went in for back to school shopping and she went beyond to help us after a long day and with a lot of trying on! 3 children looking for sneakers and the right fit and style can be stressful. Vicki helped brighten our day, assisted us with a smile when things seemed to be going wrong. I appreciate her kindness, how knowledgeable she was and how helpful she was! She was personable and took the time to speak with us and make us feel welcomed!! Bravo 5 Starss Amazing customer service and people skills! THANK YOU VICKI! You deserve a prize! You truly are awesome and put a smile on my children’s faces and helped relieve a mother’s stress! YOU ROCK!

  The worst customer service! I’d give it a zero but the store was actually clean & well kept… We went in this evening, and the manager was at the front socializing with another employee. Not only did neither of them acknowledge us when we walked in, but when my husband asked for help, she simply directed him toward the clearance section. It’s a big store, and we were specifically looking for a larger men’s shoe size. After searching for quite a while, I approached the two employees and asked if they could check their system to see whether they had any shoes at all available in that size. The employee, who identified herself as the manager, looked noticeably bothered that I had interrupted their conversation which was social btw. She told me there was no way for them to look it up, that they didn’t have that capability, and that I could go online and search myself. I asked if someone can please help me. She said she couldn’t but for me to go online and check! I honestly couldn’t believe the complete indifference toward actually helping a customer. Even if there truly is no way to search store inventory by size, a manager could have at least made some effort to assist us rather than simply sending us to the website. If your store managers would rather direct customers online than help the people who have actually taken the time to come into the store, I think DSW has a much bigger problem on its hands. At that point, why have the stores at all? Worst DSW I’ve ever been to. Very disappointing.

  Today I visited this location and was assisted by Dylan. I found two boxes of the same shoe in my size. One pair had soles that appeared noticeably worn, as though they may have been previously purchased, worn, and returned. I brought both boxes to the register and specifically asked whether there was any additional inventory in the back because one pair appeared worn. I was told there was not. I made it clear that the condition of the shoes was my concern. Rather than inspecting the issue or offering any accommodation, Dylan took the shoes and rubbed the bottoms of the soles with his bare hands, then handed them back and said, ‘All better.’ I found that response dismissive and unprofessional. I later spoke with a manager, who immediately inspected the shoes and offered a discount. The manager also indicated that an accommodation should have been offered from the beginning. I declined the discount because my primary concern was the customer service experience. My purpose in sharing this is simply to encourage customers to inspect merchandise carefully before purchasing. Even when an item is on sale, customers should expect to receive products in appropriate condition and be treated respectfully when raising legitimate concerns. Pictures attached. Retail $70.00
