This was honestly one of the worst customer service experiences I’ve had in a retail store, especially considering I spent approximately $260 on two items.
From the moment I entered the Alo store at the Prudential Center, I felt completely ignored. Not one employee acknowledged me, offered assistance, or even made an effort to provide basic customer service. The only interaction I had was at checkout, when I was told that if I didn’t create an account, I would not be able to make a return without my physical receipt. I asked why my purchase couldn’t simply be looked up in their system, and I was told that they don’t have that capability.
What made the experience even more uncomfortable was that I believe I overheard one of the employees make a comment suggesting that I was wearing “knockoff” pants. I cannot say with absolute certainty that the comment was directed at me, but given the overall way I was treated in the store, it left me feeling extremely uncomfortable and unwelcome.
I also left questioning whether the quality of the merchandise was truly worth the price when the customer service was this poor. Spending $260 should come with a reasonable expectation of being treated with courtesy and respect.
Unfortunately, the entire experience left me feeling as though I was being racially profiled and judged rather than treated like a valued customer. I have never felt so uncomfortable simply shopping in a store.
Based on this experience, I would not recommend this location, and I have no desire to return. The merchandise may be expensive, but the customer experience I received was anything but premium.

My mother went in this store for an online pickup order and she said none of the staff greeted her and instead stared at her up and down as if they were looking down on her. She said they looked absolutely miserable and didn’t even bother asking her if she needed any help, just watched her with a stank face as she walks around the store. The cashier was asking too many questions with an attitude about her online order. Yall need to fix the staff yall hired, they need to be friendlier. They all look like they hate their job!

I love alo but I think this location maybe had too many shoplifters that maybe look like me. Horrible experience in shopping. Workers didn’t seem like they wanted to help me shop they were more focused on protecting the door and just 👀 looking. When asked a size or direction to the newest arrival's are no enthusiasms in helping just 👀and standing blocking the door. I assume ppl run out with clothing here and the racial profiling is number one for the employees.
