Good coffee, can bring it in to the bookstore side, and there is a fantastic doll house.

The Old Village Store is an absolute gem!! our daily go-to and we feel lucky to have it. The attention to detail is unmatched, the ambiance is warm and inviting, and the coffee is consistently superb. The breakfast sandwiches are a must, and the curated selection of gifts and local artisan crafts makes every visit feel special.

Stopped by expecting a cute old country store. It's not. On Google it said there was a gift shop. Walked in and it looked like a restaurant with half of a gas station convenience store in it. Some bottled drinks and miscellaneous food tiems. Wondered if I was at the wrong place. There is a small little room off to the left with weirdest mix of odds and ends. Not a gift shop, not a toy store, not a general store. Just a weird mix of whatever didnt make sense in the main area. Most of the rest of the building was basically an empty restaurant, with no patrons when we stopped by midday on a Saturday. Positioned next to the old railroad station, with train cars behind the building (model train museum), I hoped some theming maybe. No, no real theme at all. So much potential but seems to have no real identity, and no reason for anyone to ever go back.

The restoration and revitalization of this village gem is inspiring. Beyond the food, beer, coffee, wine, groceries, produce, books shop, and general-store staples, it genuinely feels like what the name suggests: a true village store. More than just a place of commerce, it’s heartening to see it making an effort to bring people and ideas together. Well done.
