  By far my worst experience at this salon to this date. I have been a very loyal customer here for the past two(?) - ish years. I’ve never had ANY issues and I’ve always tipped amazingly well. Everyone who works here is *usually* super sweet. Just not today. I came in for my appointment scheduled two days in advance, and I was told my hair dresser had called out sick. Totally understandable! However, when I had made my appointment the person who would be doing my hair was never actually made clear to me. They never even asked my name because their system pulls it up from my past appointments. (Keep this in mind.) The ladies there were all super rude to me at this time. Two of them were downright glaring at me when the manager; Jennifer, had asked if I had an appointment. To which I told her I in fact did. That’s when I finally got the information my hair dresser called out sick. (Totally understandable!) I stood there for a few seconds before telling them I wasn’t actually made aware of this. The manager Jennifer told me that she had tried to call me and reschedule “several times.” Though when I checked *in the store* while rescheduling my appointment, I didn’t have *any* voice mails or missed calls on my phone. I figured it was an issue with MY phone so I apologized TO THEM. But stated I didn’t actually have any missed calls or voice messages. I made this very clear. The ladies glared at me some more until a kind younger lady finally came and helped me reschedule my appointment. She didn’t apologize to me for the misunderstanding, or if she did I didn’t hear her. This situation felt VERY unprofessional and rude from the other ladies. All of the hair dressers were sitting around talking and one lady was finishing up someone’s hair. There was only one client in the store besides me. I understand upcoming clients and miscommunication. I understand people have bad days but the way these ladies were treating me just wasn’t right, so my mother encouraged me to call and file a complaint against the store because of their behavior. When I finally got ahold of a manager- the manager was super sweet, initially offering to see if she could get me a discount. She then transferred me over to the salon manager Jennifer. Jennifer was very rude and disrespectful to me, raising her voice at me over the phone. She told me that rescheduling clients is *very* important to her and that; again, she had tried reaching out to me several times. I told her I believe SHE *DID* attempt to reach out to me, but I didn’t receive any phone calls or voice mails. My tone was very matter of fact while hers was very rude, unprofessional, and downright belittling. She repeated again that she did attempt calling, but that ‘because I was in school I must’ve had poor cell service.’ (Kind of rude to assume?) I told her I finished with school early and graduated... I work full time, and I was home when the call would’ve taken place. Then she raised her voice at me again asking what I wanted from her. My mother ended up taking over the call to complain about how unprofessional her language and attitude was towards me. She reiterated that she didn’t understand what we wanted from her. While she spoke more professionally to my mother, it still felt very rude and unbecoming. I have been a very loyal customer. I have always tipped well- and I’ve never had any problems with this salon until this. I’ve had to reschedule and I’ve had my hair dressers call out before. I’ve had people taken over my service when my original hair dresser called out. This isn’t how you treat your paying customers no matter their age. I found it very disappointing to be treated this way and belittled for what is likely, because of my age… They weren’t professional or apologetic about mistakes and miscommunication. This mistake should have been handled with an apology, not accusatory yelling from grown women. We all have bad days but that’s no excuse to take it out on others. Very disappointing, disheartening, and flat out unprofessional from a salon I loved to go to. :(

  I was traveling from out of town and found your store to be quit lovely. I found some beautiful things and enjoyed looking through your womens department. When I got to the cashier and was attempting to pay for my items a cashier named Terrie was badgering me to use my Penny's Credit card. She told me that a JC Penny's hourly salary depends on how many sales she makes when a person uses a JC Penny's credit card instead of a debit card. She was very adamant and actually quite demanding. I did not appreciate that at all. Very poor customer service!

  The cashier asked me for my phone number and then if I wanted to applyfor a credit card. I told her I already have one and she continued to try to get me to get one. I told her I was paying by debit card and that didn’t seem to please her. She watched me trying to use my debit card in the reader and then finally told me how to use it. It was new. She was kind of rude after she found out I was using my debit card to pay.
