  I’m a Louisville native, but now live in Dallas, TX. I still choose Staples over Dallas options. Ella recently helped me create a beautiful ring for my son’s birth month and I’m excited to continue adding to my stack with her help over the years. Great service, communication, and expertise.   I would not recommend selling your old gold here. From the moment we walked in, the greeting felt unwelcoming and unprofessional, almost as if we were bothering them by being there. I asked what percentage of melt value they typically pay for scrap gold, but I couldn't get a clear answer. I was simply told, “We have to look at it first.” That was concerning to me, as I would expect an established gold buyer to at least be able to explain how their offers are calculated or provide a general percentage they pay based on current gold prices. I had weighed my ring beforehand and already had a reasonable idea of its gold value, so I was shocked by how low their offer was. We declined and went to another jeweler located downtown, where I received a check for DOUBLE what I was offered here for the exact same ring. Based on my experience, I would strongly recommend getting another quote before accepting an offer here. If there is this much difference in what they offer for gold, it also makes me question the value and pricing of the jewelry they sell.

  I can’t say enough great things about Staples and our jewelry expert Jake. I came in with a 3 stone ring and wanted to take the stones of that one to make a 5 stone marquee engagement ring. He listened to what I wanted, made changes, made a custom CAD setting and sourced matching domains and a gorgeous center stone. He came in under budget and ahead of schedule and it’s gorgeous! Highly recommend Staples and Jake!

  Ordered a ring with a sapphire and a ruby and the “ruby” is somehow pink. Ridiculous. Don’t shop here.
