Art Supply StoreArt SchoolArt Gallery
The business opened in 1941 as Preston Paint and Wallpaper. The store's focus was obvious, but there were always at least a few art materials in the store for signwriters to layout and execute their work, but also artists oil paints and materials for their use during the off-season. After a devastating fire in the late 70s, Roena and Andy were ready to retire. They handed the reins over to Don and Kathy, who owned the store for 40 years and still work in the business today.

- AѕнαωηηαSep 24, 20265.0Staff was friendly, informative, and did not make me feel silly at all asking questions as a new person delving into art. Very happy and calming atmosphere. There was a class going on when I visited and it seemed like a lot of fun. Highly recommend!
- THTate HouchensSep 4, 20265.0Stopped in the other day to see what options Preston Arts had for drafting tables. Really like this Futura one Andrew recommended. Looking forward to doing some sketches and continuing to visit this local Louisville establishment for my art needs.
- RBRobert Curtice (Bob)Aug 4, 20265.0Same amazing place for art supplies. Shame they had to move, but this new location is A LOT better to offer classes and supplied to budding artists and professionals alike. Plus, the park is in their back yard. Its my go to place for drafting supplies.
- KBKevin BushongJun 28, 20264.0Took a Bob Ross style painting class. It was fun and I learned. They are all very friendly and helpful.
- CBCaitlin BakerJun 23, 20265.0Love the new location closer to home! Simon helped me with recommendations for my mixed media collage projects - they had some great recommendations for my project and I can’t wait to try the new mediums I picked up.
