Country Pumpkins was founded in 2000 by the Colson and Pennington families as a simple pumpkin sales business with an honesty box by the road. By 2009 it had grown into a complete Fall Festival and Fall Tour operation.
Our farm, Alpine Hills Dairy Farm, was established in 1947 in Corinth, KY by Papaw Joe Colson when he purchased his first few Brown Swiss Cows from Illinois. The farm is now relocated to Dry Ridge and owned by Papaw Joe’s son, Dean, and Dean's wife, Debbie. While they are no longer milking commercially as of last winter, they are still milking a smaller herd and selling the milk directly from the farm as part of their cow share program. - NSNick StoneSep 20, 20265.0These guys are very kind and it’s the best setup for miles. One of the only places you can still ride and pick your own pumpkin. Unfortunately we didn’t get to do that today. My wife and I overestimated how much we could do the heat with her being 37 months pregnant. We thought we’d give it a try today and we fell short but the family that runs the place got her some water, offered us a ride back to the car, and offered to let us pick a pumpkin from the picked batches after my wife got a little overheated. It’s nice to know there are good people in the world. We can’t wait to return to finish picking our pumpkins but next time we’ll be more mindful when pregnant 🎃

Our visit was cut short because my son, unfortunately had an accident while there and the staff was so attentive and quickly responded to help me and my son! Thank you so much for you hospitality and gentleness during such an intense moment. It will never be forgotten!
