  We need an HPB here in Springfield, MO! We got spoiled living in Texas and having access to multiple stores. Driving 2 or more hours to the nearest one is a hardship. Surrounding cities are Branson, Ozark, Nixa, Marshfield, Mount Vernon, Republic, Aurora, etc. Plenty of customers to support an HPB. We so miss spending afternoons browsing the shelves and always bringing home lots of books.

  My wife came by today to look for a few books, and was immediately met with hostility from the staff. She initially asked for help from a younger employee who snapped at her, angrily stating that she was busy and that my wife needed to wait her turn (this woman was not assisting a customer.) later, my wife is supervising our toddler, who is looking through the kids books, when the same employee starts talking to another about how my wife won’t have the decency to pick up after him. My wife does, she reorganizes the books, and then goes on her way. This entire review is just a warning that this place is not kid friendly, and has no patience for mothers of young children. I expected more from a company I have engaged with my entire life, but I guess good help is hard to come by.

  Glad we have this store to where people can bring books to sell or recycle. The staff are all very friendly & accommodating. The process of selling your books is simple & easy.
