  Went into this store with my kiddos. Store associate Julie told me I needed to have the kids wait outside of the hall with the restroom in it bc it was an employee only area. I told her they were taking turns using the restroom b4 we shopped. It was clearly a customer restroom also. She very rudely and judgingly told me they needed to wait outside of the hallway. I told her they could stand at the edge of the hallway so I could still see them but that I wasn't going to have them out of my eyesight, bc they are children. I could'nt understand her telling me that I couldnt have children together, in an area where a restroom is located. She continued to stare at us as if we were going to steal something or were doing something wrong. I have never had a store associate (especially someone who is supposed to be a manager of a store) treat my family this way, or act so erraticly. The kids were alarmed by the way she talked to us, as if they had done something she didnt like. This was my very first experience with Maurices and definitely my last. I asked her for her name and she said, Im not telling you my name" which is a sure sign that she knew what she had done was not only inconsiderate but rude. I told her that was okay, and that when I called corporate I would just describe her to them, no biggie. She then said, its Julie. She became even more upset, arrogant, and disrespectful, telling me that if I was going to call to at least tell corporate that she had followed store policy. I told her I didnt need her to explain her policies to me, and that all I owed corporate was the experience she had just put me and the kids through. We left with her still saying unnecessary things as we were leaving, and I told her to have the day she deserves after treating me and the kids that way. My best friend was still in the store, and this MANAGER, then told her "oh, you're with them, I dont think you can return these items bc you're prob not going to buy anything anyways" and then repeatedly asked her for my name, as if that was going to help the situation. My best friend left SHAKING from the interrogation this woman put her through. I can't imagne a company that sells WOMEN'S clothing telling a mom she has to seperate her kids as they use the bathroom. Or a manager taking her feelings out on another customer bc she was upset at me. My best friend shopped there alllllll the time, but now will never set foot in there again. Please corporate Maurices, get this woman some type of customer service training, or at least a little bit of common decency. I will never be a customer due to this experience, but I would hate for any ither mom to be treated this way! Absolutely abhorrent.

  Staff is always friendly. Clean and well maintained. Biggest complaint, the plus size section is always lacking at this particular Maurices.
