- BNBrenden NeerAug 17, 20261.0We took our car here to get the interlock installed, at first it was okay the lady on the phone was very helpful, she informed us it would only be $150 due at the installation, after the installation was completed we returned back and the installer said the total would be $248 because they have to collect the first 2 weeks up front, nobody informed us of this it was very upsetting to hear, the installer then took us to the shop for training on the device started making jokes about the situation and informed us after the fact that the car was low and it would scrape, that means it would of scraped when he pulled it in too, I then let him know that he should of informed us before the fact that the car would scrape or had a way of properly get it in the shop without damaging the car, it ended up damaging the whole undercarriage of the car, shaving down the jack points, smashing the exhaust, mangling the heat shield, scraping the whole bottom, breaking/cracking some of the plastic, this is very frustrating especially when it is their job to take care of the customers car, I would give 0 stars if I could this place is horrible and would not recommend going here for your installation.

How does an Interlock Device work?
When you blow into your Ignition Interlock Device, you're providing a breath test sample in order to start the vehicle. The device then measures your Breath Alcohol Concentration (BrAC), and will either say that you passed, need to retest, or failed. You will be asked to take rolling retests throughout your drive.

Breathalyzers only measure your Breath Alcohol Concentration (BrAC).
Is an Ignition Interlock the same as a breathalyzer?
Ignition Interlock and handheld breathalyzers both test your Breath Alcohol Concentration (BrAC), but an Ignition Interlock Device is only installed in vehicles and prevents the car from starting if there is alcohol detected.
