- ABAloe Be6 days ago1.0I wanted to first acknowledge the young gentleman that helped me in the waiting room. He was helpful and attentive. I proceeded to check out while 4 employees 3 girls 1 male (same one from the fitting room) was at the register conversating. The young gentleman told the cashier you have a customer and walked away. The cashier was a training a gir but proceeded to ignore his comment despite him walking away from the register. The trainee looked at me dead in the eye and turned her back as they proceeded to continue with their conversation. I honestly believe it was racially motivated but will of course just chuck it up to be bad customer service. Do better!

- GAGiselle AlvaradoApr 7, 20262.0Initially my experience at American eagle was pleasant, I tried on various jeans and the male associate running the dressing room was very attentive hence why I am rating two stars rather than one. It was once I reached check out where everything was fine until I tried to apply a 20 percent student discount. The associates called their manager for assistance and she automatically shut me down and said “we don’t take student discounts” I had to defend my case two/three times and she kept reiterating that student discounts weren’t allowed only military. It was until I mentioned I had a promo code, where she finally listened and tried inserting the code . I appreciated the fact that she tried but it also felt very forced. What was really the nail in the coffin was the fact I tried it another location AND online where the discount worked perfectly fine. I am disappointed in the lack of customer service especially from the manager on a non busy Monday afternoon.
