  Visited the university mall today and stopped in to check out American eagle. I wanted to try on clothes but couldn’t because they were “short staffed”. As my dad and I were waiting in line to check out there was one cashier. There were 3 other employees at the counter. They were all talking and only one of them was actually somewhat working by putting extra clothes away. One employee in particular was on FaceTime the entire time my dad and I were waiting. She looked over at us a couple times but then went back to being on her phone. A couple people were behind us and this lady finally opened the other register. She took the people behind us when we had been waiting for 10+ minutes. I wish I could be paid to sit on my phone and chat with other coworkers. Very disappointed.

  My daughter and I have shopped here for almost a decade, both at Aerie and American Eagle. I’ve sadly spent a good amount of money at both stores. Most recently I purchased an item did not like the quality of the fabric , which has been declining for some time. I thought this might be a different fabric, but it wasn’t so I returned it with the tags on in , in the bag it came in - —-almost 6 weeks later the company emails me and said this has been washed and worn and cannot be returned ! … and they are sending back the item to me. I think it’s absolutely hysterical that it takes them almost 2 months to do this job and they’re obviously lying through their teeth ….. so they have lost a customer or two - or a few more due to the fact that I’m happy to let friends and family know about non trust worthy companies- I won’t shop at a place that does not adhere to their own rules and regulations and then accuses the customer of lying .

  I accidentally ordered the wrong size online and went to this store for a return. The manager assisted me with the order and even went as far as helping me find the correct size. I’m so awkward when it comes to shopping for pants and she was amazing at making me feel comfortable and not awkward. I now know my size and am so thankful for her help!

  Sam was our cashier, an absolute legend. Sam made the check out process easy! Sam is by far the goat at AE. Way to go sam!!!
