I had one great experience here and then one just okay experience. As a single person going to a jewelry store focused on engagement rings and couples is annoying and somewhat daunting. The first recent visit was great. My bracelet had broke and I needed them to fix it so I was dropping it off. The female salesperson was super great and I ended up buying a back-up bracelet which I love even more.
When I went to pick up my broken bracelet, I think the salesperson was just super busy and he should have just said that. Also it was close to closing time which was on me to go there so late. Anyway, he said he would be back to help me and he never came back. It looked like he got busy with other customers.
I do like how they will fix their jewelry, necklaces, bracelets, for free so long as they check it once a year. I also like the selection. It's not just diamonds for couples. They should advertise that a bit more. There are more of us NOT getting married than those who are.

My fiancé and I just bought our wedding bands from Spencer who was amazing! He was so patient, thorough, personable and really listened to what we wanted. I personally tried on 15+ rings while Spencer patiently helped me find the perfect one. He really made my fiancé and I feel seen and appreciated. I’m not one to publicly leave negative reviews, but my engagement ring design and purchase has been close to a nightmare. When my fiancee and I went into the Indianapolis store back in November 2025, we picked out a ring we like and were upsold on the diamond from the lab grown that was preset to one of their new stargazer diamonds. The diamond is beautiful and we were ENSURED there would be no issue fitting the stargazer diamond into the setting we originally picked out. When my fiancee proposed in May (a few weeks ago), we noticed that the diamond did not fit in the setting—it was lob-sided vertically where one side sat higher than the other and crooked when you looked at it from the top. We went into the store and were told the diamond was “too small”, so they’d let us “pay the difference” to upgrade to a diamond that would fit in the setting. When we came back to pick up the ring two weeks later, they’d straightened the diamond and resized the ring… however, the original diamond was still in the ring and we were then told the “upgraded diamond”would look no different in the setting. We then said (again) to the third person, that the diamond clearly didn’t sit right and was higher on one end than the other and we were worried it would fall out… we simply just wanted the diamond to be secure, and we were gaslit by multiple employees over multiple weeks who told us nothing was wrong. We kept pushing and they finally brought out the jeweler who did see what we saw and took the ring back, but when he came back with it, the diamond still looked like it was going to pop out of the setting and was not level. We left feeling defeated that no one would listen to us and that the diamond we were promised was going to fit into the setting clearly doesn’t… now, a few weeks later, the diamond is loose in the setting and cannot be worn. We are not difficult, if we had been told originally the diamond would not fit we’d have picked a different setting, but we weren’t. Shane Co sold us on a ring and a diamond that doesn’t work together and now they won’t fix it. My fiancee worked tirelessly to save and pay for this ring we both loved and we are heartbroken about this. This process has been incredibly frustrating and we are beyond disappointed with the run-around we get every time we go into the Indianapolis store and how the ring continues to not be what we were promised and expected. I would not recommend Shane Co for your jewelry needs.

I would love to say my experience was enjoyable, but unfortunately, that was not the case.
From the moment I arrived, Ashley McCullough made the experience uncomfortable. I came into Shane Co. looking for a solid 14kt yellow gold crucifix pendant to pair with my 4mm 14kt solid gold rope chain that I previously purchased from Jared. Instead of providing the exceptional customer service I have come to expect from Jared, I felt as though the seriousness of my purchase was being questioned.
When trying on the pendant, Ashley McCullough attempted to attach it to the clasp area of my chain rather than placing it on the chain properly. She then took my chain to the back and returned saying that they had been able to get the pendant on. The entire situation felt unnecessary and frustrating.
Another issue was that Ashely McCullough repeatedly emphasized that the pendant was non-refundable. While I understand the importance of store policies, repeating the same statement multiple times felt excessive and came across as dismissive rather than helpful. I heard and understood the policy the first time it was explained.
Overall, Ashely McCullough attitude throughout the interaction negatively affected what should have been an exciting jewelry purchase. The only positive outcome was that I ultimately left with the pendant I wanted. However, the customer service experience fell far below the standard I have come to expect from Jared.
