We just went into Shane Co for the first time today. We were helped by a representative named Paige. My wife and I have been loyal to another jewelry chain for about 18 years now. But we’d been looking to update my wife’s wedding set for over a year. We’d shop around casually but over the last year we’ve been to an estimated 20 different jewelry stores, including our “home” store several times and she just hadn’t found anything that felt like an upgrade without paying more than the value of my car. Paige listened and responded. She asked questions and had very good suggestions and was incredibly patient. The selection was remarkable, and she knew what they had and where to find it well. We ended up looking at over a dozen rings, a handful of ring jackets, and I don’t even know how many additional bands trying to build a set that my wife would love. Paige was excellent, and after finally finding the set, Paige presented us with several diamonds of varying sizes and colors. Every stone she showed us, was simply objectively clearer, more sparkly, and just better than any diamond I’ve looked at from any other store. After taking up nearly 90 minutes of her time, my wife had a set and a stone that made her face light up. Paige was so incredibly patient and helpful. It actually felt like have a dedicated sales associate there to guide and support and not once did it feel like there was any sort of pressure. My wife and I will be celebrating twenty years of marriage this week, and I don’t know how many pieces of jewelry I’ve bought in that time. After this, however, I can say that the next twenty years will see many more purchases from Shane co.

They completely lied to me. They will do the exact same thing to you. I spent almost 3k with Shane Company 2 1/2 years ago. When I bought it, they told me I could upgrade anytime and get 10% more towards the upgrade. I came in willing to spend another 1k on the of the value of my current ring to get something better for my fiancé. When they say read the small print!!! Do it!! Cause I didn’t. In order to upgrade my ring today they wanted me to spend 2,000 more dollars based on a bunch of B.S they told me that wasn’t mentioned when I originally was told I could upgrade anytime for 10% more on top of the value of the ring. It’s called bate and switch. They train them all to say that and deal with it if it ever comes back. I will never do business here again. I will spend the rest of my life telling people not to go here. Now I’m going to Jared. Where I almost went originally. Just to see if I can get close to its value with an additional 1k to get something different. Anyone from Shane company responding to this is obviously going to say what ever they can to save face. Hey Shane Company you’ve lost my business forever. I’m done. You’ve lost my trust…. .. …. ..

Not to mention my bridal shower is in 3 days and they’ll have it ready for me looking brand new before the shower. I highly recommend you get all your jewelry from Shane. "I would do 5 stars but after the excitement of the proposal wore down, he explained that while Amber helped make it happen, the other sales people didn't seem to want to work with him and rushed him through the process, and then there was a lot of back and forth with managers via email, and he didn't feel super comfortable coming back and planned to either order online or from a different store like Reis Nichols. Thankfully he reached out to Amber by email directly and she was able to calm his worries and confusion about the special ordering process that the managers and customer services individuals created." Im leaving that portion of my review up but edited out the rest. We went in this weekend to get ideas for his band and waited forever, we tried to find amber and the person laughed and told she was fired last week. Why would you respond to my review and say you will make sure she's around for us.... and then fire her? Im glad I have my ring but we will be shopping local for his ring. Bad vibes and I dont want that involved in my marriage. Going to another jewelery store for our bands and my bridal jewelery...

Our experience at Shane Co. was, without question, one of the most frustrating retail experiences we've ever had. My fiancé wanted to create a custom engagement ring that was truly one of a kind. He knows I love a very specific shade of deep purple...one that leans toward the blue end of the spectrum, and he had spent a great deal of time researching the exact diamond and design he wanted before we ever walked into the store. We were excited and expected to work with someone who specialized in custom jewelry. Instead, we were greeted at the door by someone with an iPad who took our names and had us wait. The store was busy, which we understood, but after waiting about 25 minutes, we were finally introduced to a salesperson. Unfortunately, that's when the experience really went downhill. We explained what we were looking for, but before we could even finish, she interrupted us to say she had to go help her other customers. Throughout the rest of the day, she repeatedly left us standing at the counter to assist several other couples. We never felt like we had her attention for more than a few minutes at a time before she disappeared again. Custom jewelry is a major purchase. It isn't something that should be rushed between multiple customers. We expected a consultation, but instead we felt like we were constantly waiting for our turn. We were repeatedly told that if Shane Co. couldn't find the perfect gemstones, no one could. Yet every purple stone we were shown was the wrong color—reddish-purple instead of the deep blue-toned purple we had clearly described. The same thing happened with the center diamonds. My fiancé had done extensive research and knew exactly what characteristics he wanted, but we were shown diamond after diamond that simply didn't meet those standards. Each and every diamond had very obvious flaws... big black flaws under the microscope. We were really disappointed because we believed all the hype about Shane Co. Hour after hour passed, and by the end of the day we felt completely exhausted. I finally turned to my fiancé and said I felt like we had spent the day in a car dealership where you're kept there as long as possible, hoping you'll eventually settle for something that isn't what you came in for. When we decided to leave, the manager assured us she would personally continue searching for the perfect diamond and gemstones. She told us she would contact us within a week, have stones brought into the store for us to examine, and help us create exactly what we wanted. None of that happened. The promised follow-up did come, but it was to tell us that she was still looking. Eventually, it became clear that if Shane Co. couldn't quickly make the sale, our business simply wasn't a priority. The promises made during our visit turned out to be empty. The most disappointing part wasn't that they couldn't find exactly what we wanted. It's that we never felt listened to, valued, or treated like customers making one of the most meaningful purchases of our lives. Between the constant interruptions, the lack of dedicated attention, and the failure to follow through on what was promised, the experience left us feeling completely let down. Ironically, after leaving Shane Co., we found a local jeweler who listened carefully, sourced the exact diamond and beautiful blue-toned purple sapphires we had envisioned, designed the ring of my dreams, and provided outstanding customer service from beginning to end. If you're shopping for something that's already sitting in a display case, you may have a perfectly fine experience. But if you're looking for a truly custom piece and expect personalized service, our experience was the exact opposite. We won't be returning, and we can't recommend Shane Co. based on how we were treated.
