  I bought a 4 thousand dollar ring for my wife at the Greenwood mall JCPenney we had it for months and I went back to get it sized they took the ring and told me it would be back in 2 weeks. 5 weeks later I try to get my ring back the general manger tells me that I already came to pick it up two days prior she obviously must think I’m dumb so I told her I’d involve the police and I was making a report. She then called me back and told me that there was no number for pick up and she had my ring. I get to the mall to pick up the ring and she tries to give me a ring that was 1carot set in silver I laughed with disbelief and showed her I paid for a 2carot ring with diamonds all down the side set in white gold. She told me that I was s out of luck and it’s not on her. The police came out and said the same exact scenario happened to a woman the day before they tried to give her something that was way cheaper then what she sent out and thought neither one of us was going to notice. Months later still no ring and a man by the name Richard told me he was going to get it figured out. I called back to speak to him and he said it’s out of his hands and was going to have the GM call me. She calls me and it’s the same exact woman that is under investigation for stealing peoples stuff. JCPenney is a absolute joke and we are hiring lawyers and we are suing them and pressing criminal charges do NOT send your jewelry out through them

  I bought 2 packages of Stafford Tshirts on April 2 of 2026 and I washed them and never wore and they are too big and I wanted to return them and I have my receipt on my phone and they refused to let me return them. I if I had bought at Kohls there would be question the would return them, no wonder Penney’s is about to go bankrupt. Very poor customer service. I would never consider using JC Penney in the future.

  I had a very disappointing experience at JCPenney yesterday regarding a return. I came in with an item that was clearly within the stated 60-day return window, yet the associate at the return counter refused to process it. When I politely questioned this and mentioned the 60-day policy, I was told that the store “doesn’t have such a policy,” which directly contradicts what customers are told and what is publicly advertised. What made the situation even more concerning is that she presented herself as a manager. If that is the case, it is especially troubling that someone in a leadership position would provide incorrect information and handle the situation in such an unprofessional and dismissive manner. Instead of offering clarification or trying to resolve the issue, she was unhelpful and dismissive. As a customer, I expect clear, accurate information and respectful service especially from someone claiming to be in a management role. This experience has seriously impacted my trust in JCPenney. If your policies are not being honored or your staff especially management are not properly trained, it creates confusion and frustration for customers. I strongly urge management to address this issue, ensure employees are properly informed about return policies, and reinforce basic standards of professionalism. I hope this situation is taken seriously and corrected moving forward.
