  I’ve been to SEVERAL jewelry stores to purchase and look— never once was I told I needed to give my DL before looking a a diamond. It’s a very low class experience, and would not recommend.

  My family and I accompanied my son to the jewelry exchange in Villa Park on May 10, 2026, shortly after they opened, to buy a gold chain. We looked at several options and found the one he wanted for $2174 before taxes. To my surprise, my son then asked me to start looking for a Mother's Day gift, and I started strolling through the store. Sheriff, the clerk, began ringing up my son's purchase, and the register added an extra $1,000 to the total, before taxes. Sheriff and my son could not understand what had just happened, and the clerk called the "manager" over, who then dismissively claimed that the tag had not been updated. No apologies or regrets, just a very rude and snarky attitude from the "manager," which abruptly ended what seemed to be a very pleasant shopping experience with the clerk up until that point. Instead of correcting the other mispriced chains at the counter, many employees, including the "manager," were sitting in the back and did not address the mistake or at least give the impression that they cared. Needless to say, we would have absolutely purchased the chain and my present (and probably would have been return customers) if the "manager" had been a little kinder. Instead, we walked out and decided to take our business elsewhere. I don't know, but I think there is a lot to be said about honoring mistakes, apologizing, or even just pretending that customers are valued.

  I had a very excellent sells lady named Michelle. She was very professional. The jewelry exchange has great jewelry. I even came back and upgraded my diamonds before the month was over. I'm very satisfied with my purchase

The ring has a marquise center with baguettes, and over time the sides holding the baguettes had become thin and worn, causing the stones to shift. I visited The Jewelry Exchange to explore my options and really appreciated the experience. The jeweler took the time to evaluate my ring and explain what was happening structurally due to its age. It was helpful to have that confirmed in a clear and professional way. What stood out most was that there was no pressure to completely redesign the ring. Instead, the focus was on preserving the original look while recreating it with a stronger, updated structure. They also prepared a beautiful rendering with the requested updates, which made it easy to visualize the final result. I was given a clear estimate for both cost and timeline, and the entire process felt collaborative rather than sales-driven. If you have a sentimental piece of jewelry that needs restoration or rebuilding, this is definitely a place worth considering.
