Horrible customer service, called to ask a question and they hung up the phone on me. I would not recommend this location

The guy who helped me at the register, didn’t even look up at me and acknowledge me during the whole transaction even when he handed me the bag he wouldn’t look at me and he barely said have a nice day. making no eye contact. as a woman of color and him being a white man this felt like a micro aggression, even if he didn’t intend it to be. at the end of the day you’re there to give good customer service, and people who shop here pay a lot of money. too much money for you to be treating people like that. you might think you’re above it or above the job that you got hired to do but at the end of the day you’re still there and if you had even a little bit of class, you would treat people with basic decency at least especially in a customer service role. On the other hand, the girl who helped me while I was in the fitting room she was super helpful. She brought me recommendations and she never once gave me attitude on the other hand the gay white guy who helped me check out was super rude.

I had a really disappointing experience shopping at the Alo store in Old Orchard today. I came in with my wife and child (in a stroller), and the store was not busy at all—there were maybe two other customers inside.
From the moment we walked in, we were not greeted or acknowledged by any staff. I spent time clearly looking for specific sizes and colors and was visibly having trouble finding what I needed, yet no one offered to help. What stood out even more was that other customers who came in after us were greeted right away and offered assistance.
It honestly made me feel overlooked and unwelcome, and I can’t ignore how it came across. It felt like we were being treated differently, and I can’t help but feel that the color of my skin may have played a role in that experience.
What’s frustrating is that I still ended up purchasing three items, so it’s not like I wasn’t there to spend money. The lack of basic customer service and acknowledgment was unacceptable. No customer should feel invisible while shopping.
I hope this store takes a serious look at how they treat all customers moving forward.

This was my first time both purchasing from Alo and visiting one of their physical stores. While the store itself is beautiful, I didn’t initially feel welcomed. Some of the staff seemed a bit distant, and the atmosphere felt more aloof until I reached the checkout. That’s when I met Maria, who completely turned the experience around. She was incredibly kind, warm, and attentive. Because of her, I left feeling much better. Overall, I’d rate this visit a 5 out of 10, but Maria truly made a difference.

I love this location! The team is so nice here and friendly. They’re always really helpful. One time I had a pick up order that had a little stain on it and they were so nice to steam it and back and get the stain out. they’re always really helpful with size suggestions and being really honest about how something might fit and I really appreciate that. I always feel like I get the five star treatment here! And alo clothing. Say that the quality is not that great, but I just think we’ll never have any problems as long as you take good care of your clothes as with any brand.
