  Went to DSW in Geneva & was helped by Angela, who worked the front counter. The boots I purchased were in a broken box & Angela very graciously put together a brand new box that I can store my boots in during the summer. She was most helpful & very kind. Thank you for such great service, Angela! It's people like you that make a difference & I am so very appreciative.

  Terrible attitude from employees and management doesn’t seem to care about it. I reported inappropriate to Julie and she was indifferent about it. Very rude customer service.

  They have a decent selection but limited sizes so you might need to order them. Luckily, returns are fairly easy. For tennis shoes, I'd personally go to Sketchers or Famous Footware since they typically have deals.

  I recently had a very disappointing experience at this DSW location and felt it was important to share. My nephew tried on rain boots with the help of a staff member. They didn’t have his exact size, so we went with a pair that was only slightly tighter. We purchased them and left. After trying them on again once we got to the car and later at the farm, we realized they wouldn’t go back on properly due to the structure of his feet and his vision disability (he needs assistance putting shoes on). He had only walked a short distance in them. When I returned to the store hoping to exchange them, the same associate who had originally helped us said they could be returned or exchanged. Moments later, the manager overruled that decision and said no return or exchange was possible because the tag had been removed and boots have been worn. This back-and-forth was frustrating and left me feeling like the store was unwilling to work with a customer in a genuine situation. Separately, my nephew accidentally left his original shoes near the kids’ boot section. When I called right away to ask if they had been found, the employee I spoke with was unhelpful and dismissive. She told me the shoes had been placed in a donation box. I explained that I needed them back and asked if they could check, but the response felt cold and uninterested. She took my name and number but offered little reassurance. Lost items left by customers (especially children’s shoes) should not immediately go into a donation box. Overall, the lack of flexibility, the inconsistent answers, and the poor phone customer service left a very bad impression. I’ve had positive experiences at other DSW locations where staff were helpful and understanding, but I will not be returning to this particular store.
