  I ordered these shoes for my son’s graduation. When I got them home, I noticed the box was ripped. Once I opened the box and looked at the shoes, I could tell from the bottom that they had been worn. The shoes also did not come with the Gucci mesh bag. I did not check them before leaving the store because this was a store pickup order from the Michigan Avenue location in Chicago, and I trusted the Nordstrom brand. Unfortunately, I am very disappointed. Buyers should be aware and check their items carefully before leaving the store. When I called customer service, they offered no real solution and told me I would have to go back into the store. This was a very frustrating experience, especially for such an important purchase. I will not purchase from Nordstrom again, and I would recommend that others consider shopping elsewhere.

  This store is classic Nordstrom offering high fashion and more mainstream approachable items. Staff are available and approachable on the sales floor. The store is well-stocked with current releases and sizes. On a recent visit I was able to purchase what I wanted and to take it with me--no need to have the sales person place an internet order and wait for delivery!!

  Very annoyed at the service I received today. I fell in love with a dress for an event this weekend and went to purchase, only to be told that they could not, under any circumstance, sell me the dress because it was on loan to the store by the dress brand. Yet it was on the floor, able to be tried on. Received no alternatives, express shipping was not available.

  Pretty disappointed with the alterations department at Nordstrom. I purchased a wool coat from Nordstrom online and needed an additional button added closer to the top for warmth. I made an appointment, came in for fitting and measurements, and everything seemed fine at pickup. I dropped the coat off on February 28 and picked it up on March 7. It’s now April 25, and the added button is already coming loose. The button they chose also doesn’t match the others, which is surprising given that this is a basic alteration service. They had the coat for a week and still couldn’t source a closer match. For something this simple, that’s frustrating and not what I expected given the price and service. I’m hoping fabric glue will hold it for now, but I wouldn’t recommend their alterations for this kind of work. Meanwhile, the original buttons on the coat are still perfectly secure, which makes the difference in quality even more obvious.
