NSA Rubin Brothers is home to the 100% USA, union-made National Safety Apparel brand, Union Line™. Union Line was started by the Rubin family in 1907, manufacturing non-riveted jeans for UAW members working on auto assembly lines. During World War II, Union Line was asked to manufacture uniforms for soldiers. After the war, Rubin Brothers developed a cotton flame resistant garment line for over 80,000 steel mill workers in 1958. Union Line also produces union-made jackets for the New York Fire Department.
