- CMConnor MurphySep 18, 20261.0Tried returning a sweater I received as a gift (in new condition with tags but without a receipt, MSRP $298). The item is on sale online so I was offered the current sale price of $189. Totally fair and expected- however I then was told I had to exchange it for something else that day and even at that they’re making an exception for me because “this sweater is old it’s from Christmas 2025”. Even though it’s still for sale online…? Nothing caught my eye in store so I asked for store credit, store manager Georgia denied this and related that’s not one of my options that’d I have to exchange it for something that day. When I showed her *J.crews return policy without a receipt* on my phone she stated she’s not going to argue with me. I took my item and left, will try a different store and take future business elsewhere. 9/18/26 12:30 pm

Not sure if she was having a bad day or if that’s just her general demeanor. The manager, Georgia, on the other hand was warm and welcoming and had a bright smile. You could tell she genuinely enjoyed her job.
