Very disappointing customer service. My dad and I stopped in to have a ring checked for authenticity. When we entered, there was no one immediately visible, so I opened the door and stepped partly inside while trying to figure out whether the store was open. The employee came over but did not greet us and instead told me to close the door in a noticeably annoyed tone. My dad showed him the ring and asked whether it was authentic. Rather than actually examining or verifying it, the employee simply said he was not sure but that it was probably real. When my dad asked a few follow-up questions, the employee remained dismissive and did not provide any meaningful information or service. The interaction left a very poor impression. Customers should be able to ask reasonable questions and expect basic courtesy and professionalism, especially when coming into a business specifically for a service. We ultimately left without getting the help we came in for. I would not recommend anyone to come here. A business who fails to do the bare minimum in treating customers with basic human respect is not worth your time.

They were trying to give me half of what silver is worth, ripoff. Update... After the owner made his comments below, I'll further elaborate on what happened. I purchased. 999 pure 1oz silver coins minted, nothing fancy, but newly minted coins from an online retailer, jm bullion. They were not old or corrosive, shiny newly minted coins of pure silver. I had 6 of them, worth 90 dollars. She and the owner standing right there offers me 48 bucks. How much processing could there be, they were already minted. That's how out of touch he is with average people. I needed the cash because I recently lost health insurance and the pharmacy wanted four hundred dollars for my blood pressure meds. So that's the exact story. Don't go to them. Go anywhere in Chicago but this guy....

This is the place to go. Very thoughtful and fair with each transaction. I would recommend coming here to anyone because i have never left out the door with any negative feelings as i have with other establishments. If you need the service it is worth checking out...
