I rarely leave negative reviews, but today’s experience was disappointing and fell well below expectations for a customer-facing role. I drove from Joliet to the Bolingbrook location because my size was out of stock locally. Despite ordering online, Aimee rushed through the interaction, showed little interest in assisting me with proper shoe sizing, and offered none of the product knowledge or customer service I would expect. When I asked about socks with compression and moisture-wicking features, both employees seemed uninformed and dismissive. Her colleague even claimed the socks were “just basic,” only for a quick online search to confirm they had the exact features I was looking for. I shouldn’t have to educate employees on the products they sell. The lack of attentiveness, product knowledge, and genuine customer service made this an unnecessarily frustrating experience.

Love the variety of shoes! I just don't buy shoes that often. I always get blasted with coupons but when I need shoes or want to come here, there are never any deals. 😆 Prices are high without deals or coupons, but they have a great selection. I only usually wear vionic and new balance, but they don't sell vionic in store anymore so I buy them on Amazon.

I love this place. Always a great selection and great deals. Today I was wowed by the service provided by associate Jolianna! Super friendly. Super helpful. Greeted me with a smile! (lost art these days) Upon checkout, she reminded me that if I had the DSW app, i might be eligible for extra discounts (i had completely forgotten). She didn't have to do that. Most employees wouldn't care and would just be counting down the hours until the end of their shift. I got another 20% off! Thanks DSW and thanks Joiianna! Please give this woman a raise or at least some internal praise!! Will definitely be back!

If you are looking for men’s shoes, don’t even bother coming here. This location has a terrible selection and is a mess to the one in Oakbrook. Much nicer.
