  Not a very friendly store compared to Woodfield Mall location. Went in for a return and as I stood in line thinking it was a customer. it was actually an associate leaning on the counter, talking with another associate . I was directed to the other side of the counter and then the associate explain I could only return my dress and exchange for another size. And I was looking for the store credit knowing it’s already passed a 60 days I said is that a new rule? I could only return one dress on one receipt at a time???? I asked her twice and she completely ignored my answer knowing she was in the wrong making that policy up and she continued to put it on a gift card. Didn’t say Have a nice day thank you goodbye a very rude location .five workers standing around just staring and listening to this worker make up a wrong policy when if I was within my 30 days or within the 60 days, I would get my refund regardless of how many dresses that I bought on the receipt. Very snotty Associates at this location

  The store is definitely just younger adults , but they need to learn customer service skills as in not rolling your eyes or being rude to a customer. I felt judged in the store. I don’t want to go back

  I bought 4 pants the same size took the tags off because 3 of the 4 that I tried in in store fit big mistake although the jeans were unworn and unwashed and I brought the tags and the receipt they still wouldn’t take them bc the tags weren’t on the pants and for some reason the black pants are much smaller then all other washes. I thought the sizing would be the same for all pants and when I bought them they never mentioned that once the tags came off even if unwashed and unworn an with receipt they’d be un refundable or exchange. The cashier did not care at all even though I explained I bought 3 other pairs the same size that did fit but those just didn’t.

  I had such an incredible experience with Amanda at American Eagle last night. To be honest, I’ve always been a little apprehensive about shopping at American Eagle because it wasn’t a great experience for me when I was younger. I recently ordered several pairs of jeans online after seeing some styles I liked, but none of them worked out, so I went into the store planning to simply return everything and probably not shop there again. Amanda completely changed that for me. From the moment she started helping me, she was knowledgeable, patient, and genuinely invested. She explained the different fits, rises, and styles of jeans, walked me through tops and sizing, and even paid attention to what I was already wearing to help guide her recommendations. She made the entire experience feel comfortable and personalized instead of overwhelming. I left not only keeping items, but buying more — and I even placed another online order the next morning because I felt so confident about the brand and the sizing. That is 100% because of Amanda. She turned what I thought would be a quick return into a completely positive shopping experience. I can’t speak highly enough of her and truly hope she gets recognized for the way she shows up for customers.
