Dont go to work if you have problems helping customers. Guy behind gun counter was very unprofessional and made a huge deal to help me out along with other customers that were in the immediate area waiting there standing to be helped but being ignored and gawked at.

I went in after a long day, around 7, not realizing that buying a mini bike in Idaho is a drawn-out process like buying a car. Brandon made it super easy to walk out of the store and find them on sale at Tractor Supply instead of buying them here. I took particular note when he said he could stay after closing to finish the paperwork if I really wanted to make the purchase, and when I responded that it was kind of urgent because I needed to prep them and have them ready for this weekend, he came out with a response along the lines of, "You could have come in earlier. We've been open all day." I later learned that they have a limited amout of staff who have the proper credentials to sell the mini bikes, and their Nampa location does not have the accredited staff. Brandon was just about my only way to purchase the two bikes through them, unless I want to take a road trip to another Sportsmans. I realize how customer service can be. You've had a long day and just want to go home, or you have pressing obligations waiting for you at home. Refusing to stay late is especially easy when you have a very rude customer walking into your establishment 5 minutes before closing. There is a way that he could have handled that situation, not staying late to complete the paperwork, and not leaving a bad taste in my mouth. I don't expect special treatment, just a mutual professional respect. On a positive note, the manager Jon did try to salvage the situation. He recognized that the customer service could be better, and he indicated he recently transferred to this store (and by defacto is now responsible for the level of customer service Brandon deems appropriate), and is actively working to improve the customer service experience at this location. I feel for Jon, as people like Brandon certainly make his job challenging. If I could rate them individually, I give Jon 5 stars and Brandon 0.

CAUTION! If you make the mistake of going to Sportsman's Warehouse in Meridian, make sure you carefully check every single thing on your receipt or you will pay a LOT more. We went there this week, and didn't check until we go home. Had to drive all the way back to the store, as we were overcharged on 11 of the 12 items we purchased. We got the manager on the floor, and went to each place where we got each item. His responses: "Oh, that price is for something we ran out of stock of two weeks ago." and "Oh, that sale ended about a week ago." (and we pointed out that as long as he has it posted, he is required by law to honor it) his response: "Yeah, I'm not gonna do that." and on and on. It seems that their store policy is "bait and switch."
