- BWBrett WJul 31, 20172.0It's sad J Crew decided to dump Boise as a location of a real J Crew store. The new J Crew "Mercantile" only sells J Crew Factory items. I visited today. Items are boxier and materials are not as nice. J Crew was the best men's fashion store in Boise. Now if Idahoans want the best quality, we have to shop and buy everything online. Update: If you buy clothes from JCrew.com, you cannot return them to the J Crew “Mercantile” store in the mall. Instead, you have to pay J. Crew $7 for a return shipping label. I had to do this when a shirt they sent was ridiculously baggy (clearly not size Small). J. Crew really should accept returns at stores they own to make shopping convenient and close to risk-free for customers.
