  Had a 25$ giftcard since Christmas came into use it and cant sportsmans warehouse used to take em not anymore stole 25 bucks from my pocket

  Decent store, usually have a positive experience. Policy must have changed at some point though, if you bring your firearm in you will be babysat the entire time and won't be allowed to handle it even if you're trying to fit it in a case or backpack. Safety is definitely a priority, but without a magazine, live ammunition, and a store trigger lock on it that I didn't have a key for, the best I can do is hit someone real hard with it so it did all feel a bit unnecessary. Sportsmans has the exact same procedure but they don't follow you around afterwards like you're a potential threat so if you absolutely have to bring a firearm in go their instead. For everything else this place is great though!

  Hi Cabela’s Leadership Team, I wanted to take a few minutes to recognize two of your employees, Jason and Colby, at your Boise location. There was another gentlemen's there too that assisted! I just can't remember his name. White hair, been there 2 years ( name badge). I came into Cabela’s today with a pretty big problem. My rifle had broken right before an upcoming hunting trip, and I needed to find a replacement quickly. From start to finish, Jason and Colby went above and beyond my expectations. What impressed me most wasn’t necessarily one big “wow” moment. In fact, it was quite the opposite. It was a collection of little things throughout my visit that demonstrated how much these two genuinely care about their customers and the quality of their work. They answered my questions quickly and confidently, walked me through different options, helped normalize my concerns, and made the entire experience feel seamless. They took care of mounting my scope and never once made me feel rushed or like I was inconveniencing them. Even the smallest gestures stood out. After leaving the store, I realized I’d forgotten my ID at the counter. Rather than making me come back inside, Jason ran it out to my vehicle so I wouldn’t have to take my kiddo out of the car seat. It might seem like a small thing, but those are exactly the kinds of moments customers remember. Truthfully, there are too many examples to highlight in one email. I’ve spent many years working in big-box retail, most recently serving as a General Manager for a Fortune 100 company here in the Treasure Valley. One thing I’ve learned over the years is that good talent is hard to find. Talent that’s genuinely committed to quality work, growth, and taking care of customers is even harder to come by. And employees committed to earning loyal customers? That’s no easy task either. You have two absolute gems working in your Boise location. They check all those boxes. Not only will I continue shopping at Cabela’s, but I’ll remember Jason and Colby by name because of how they treated me and, more importantly, how they made me feel walking out of your store. I know firsthand how often leadership hears about the things that go wrong, so I wanted to make sure you heard about something that went exceptionally right. If you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to call me or send an email. At the very least, I hope you’ll take a moment to recognize these two for a job incredibly well done and pass along my sincere appreciation. And to the manager I had the pleasure of meeting briefly today, I think a pizza party is warranted and well deserved! Go Boise Cabela’s! Thank you again for an outstanding experience!

  Never been to this Cabela's. I've been to a lot of Cabela's and bass pro shops. This store is amazing!! Super friendly and knowledgeable staff. Awesome selection better than most. Just a great clean fun Cabela's!!

  I had to make a stop at cabelas quickly to get a few things and was bothered not once not twice but 3 times after saying no to the “club card” the salesmen Darren came up 3 times after I said I would think about it and eventually had to say no as he followed me up to the cash registers to show me savings I don’t need another credit card and just want to get my things and not be bother by the same person 3 times. I will be going to scheels from now on better selection and actually listens to the customers.
