Clear out your books and movies, duplicates and just stuff that was never your jam....and replace it with things you want but cant find easy in other stores.

They have a sizeable selection of books that our family relies on, including graphic novels, homeschool curriculum, health, metaphysical, you name it.
I have some complaints:
First of all, this is pride month. Where is the pride section? This store makes a big overture (think literal sandwich boards with explicitly welcoming messages) about being welcoming to a diverse market, and what do they have for pride? A couple of end caps with a few teen novels. Store is alphabetized by title, with a few subject sections, to exclude what I just mentioned. We had to ask an employee, who understandably had no idea where to find this stuff when it should be front and center right now. Bonus points: how about a named sale? We left with nothing.
Employees by and large act strangely and are rude. They look as if they'd rather be anywhere else and don't miss an opportunity to make weird comments, or make a standard request or POS transaction convoluted and protracted. One employee, as a book buy was being processed, asked a customer, after she provided the spelling for her first name, if her last name Smith was "I assume the traditional spelling?" What?!
I've gotten snapped at for presenting my educator discount card at the "wrong" point in the transaction, and passive aggression when I've asked where I can find a particular section.
As others have pointed out, book sales are terrible. Expect (maybe) pennies on the dollar.
HPB will frequently sell the same items at vastly different prices for the same quality. One Little Mermaid DVD will be 5.99 and the next will be 7.99, and it's not like the cheaper item is scratched or something. I've started going through the piles of duplicates just to find the best price.
They don't stack discounts. For example, if you have an educator discount, you can't use that with any sales or promotions they run throughout the year. Hello? Discounts drive sales, and boost customer service.
Prices are also climbing, but that's nothing new under the sun.
Backward policies and service models.

From a buyers perspective- this place is awesome. I drove up from Omaha to check out this location and it did not disappoint. The store is huge in comparison to the Omaha location and I spent a little under $45 for my 7 books. I snagged a great hardcover copy of Happy Place in the clearance section for $3. The store was clean and tidy for the most part. Easy to find what you’re looking for and plenty of employees around if you need help. I’ll have to make the trip back!
