  Absolutely horrible customer service experience! Went to return and reorder an online item and stood in a line with my toddler for over 30 minutes… as someone returned several pieces from multiple receipts. At no point did the clerk call for back up assistance from the Manager or the other clerk who stepped away shortly after we arrived. Mind you I am trying to entertain a toddler during this timeframe. Once I requested the Manger she immediately came over to help as well as the secondary clerk who decided to leave during the chaotic return of the previous employee. To add “insult to injury” once the clerk did assist she made a snarky comment about how she would “not be shopping in a JC Penney’s if she was pregnant”. Mind you, my MIL purchased items for Christmas and we previously returned the wrong sizes same day and used the old gift card to pay for the shoes online. We actually do not shop there, no offense. Being pregnant with a toddler I had no patience for a rude comment like that after she purposely did not call for back up as she saw my husband and I trying to entertain our toddler as she was becoming more and more impatient with waiting. HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE! Not only will I never shop there again, I also will tell my MIL never to purchase anything for our children from there. I am soo glad I maintained the restrained not to say the many witty insults that popped into my mind when she spoke down about her own place of employment. It was immediately after we shared a laugh when I did not blame her for the several returns the previous person was making from multiple receipts. Just horrible. And a camera was absolutely present to document this exchange for any management to review. Only giving this 2 stars because of the Manger Michelle who stepped in to assist. There were no lines anywhere in the store so it was absolutely ridiculous for us to experience that encounter. SMH

  I went to the photo studio to take my engagement pics the young lady was nice but not quite the best her poses were that of a child going to a birthday celebration! But what stood out the most was her twisting my ring to the side and in the moment in thinking she’s twisting my ring bc maybe it will show up better in the photos. To my surprise everyone photo has my ring tilted to the side I now have to find someone to edit them I am beyond pissed bc now I feel like It was done on purpose!!!! 0/20 would not recommend!!!

  I had an incredible salon experience at JCPenney on Sunday, March 29, 2026, with Ms. Anita. After taking out my twists, I wasn’t up for washing my own hair and remembered they had a full-service salon—and I’m so glad I went. Ms. Anita was amazing, bringing decades of knowledge and care when it comes to natural hair. In addition she even introduced me to some new products that I would have never considered using. The only minor drawback, which has nothing to do with her, is that the salon could benefit from updating their steamers, as they are antiquated and don’t effectively steam in my opinion. Other than that, the atmosphere was a whole vibe, clean, and I’m already looking forward to coming back in three months. Came in as a stranger, left as a friend! Thanks again, Ms. Anita! -Dre
