  I am writing to express my disappointment regarding the customer service experience I recently had at DSW while attempting to return a pair of shoes. Upon entering the store, I looked to see whether anyone was standing in the checkout line and did not see anyone waiting. I overheard an associate named John thanking a customer as he completed their transaction, so I chose to wait nearby rather than walk directly to the checkout line entrance. Another customer walking in behind me followed, as there appeared to be no line at the time. While waiting, I looked again and still did not see anyone standing in line. When I eventually approached the counter and placed my shoes down for return, John immediately stated that “the checkout line begins over there” and then proceeded to call forward a woman who had just walked up near the checkout sign. As I was leaving the store, I explained to the associate that if someone had clearly been standing in line, I would never have waited where I did. Instead of listening or attempting to resolve the misunderstanding professionally, he argued back and forth with me insisting someone had been there. What made the situation even more disappointing was that another female associate with brownish-red hair approached during the interaction and laughed about the situation rather than asking what the issue was or offering assistance. I understand that misunderstandings can happen, but I believe the situation could have been handled with more professionalism, courtesy, and respect. I left the store feeling dismissed rather than valued as a customer.

  Dishonest store policy , bought shoes and worn them 3 times before sole separated ,dsw wouldn’t returns money , because item was worn ,or damaged but in this case it was defective , what am I supposed to do , keep defective shoe ? Forced me to take store credit , I will never shop here or any other dsw store again

  I've been a DSW fan for years and this location(North Point) is the best! I received a dsw gift card for Christmas, and when I went in to use it there was nothing on it. I came back a few days later with the receipt and activation info, expecting a hassle. The two women who helped me were so kind. From the beginning, they were friendly and genuinely helpful. One woman is named Victoria, and unfortunately I didn't catch the other woman's name, but they were great! Victoria was on the phone with corporate for over 30 minutes! She got disconnected multiple times, but patiently kept sorting out the problem. Meanwhile, she and her coworker are steadily ringing up and helping other customers, all with a smile! After all the problems, Victoria worked it out and got my gift card back on line. This is the best customer service I have ever had, thanks to Victoria and her coworker! Thank you ladies, you are the best!
