  Shopping at Belk today. Parked near the entrance where Petite Short clothes are. Walked over to women's Average area for only dressing rooms open. Registers at both locations had signs "Register Closed. Please go to next Register." No arrow pointing out direction to go. Walked to "Customer Service" sign near escalators. Same sign as other 2 locations. My husband suggested I try jewelry counter since we have checked out there before and it was close to escalators. No one there. Lady close by working with items and a ladder. She pointed to a man walking nearby and said "Here he comes." When we asked him to help, he directed us to go to ladies' shoe department... furtherest entrance away from where we entered/parked. I told him I'm an old lady and didn't want to walk all over store so he could put items away. BTW - J C Penny's also carries Alfred Dunner clothes, so I will check them out.

  By the time I came in the store I was already being lurked by one of the employers there. I was looking at the few purse for my mom’s birthday coming next week and saw a brand my mother loves. The minute that I pulled and my phone out my tote bag get see a reference picture to make sure if it’s the same bag, some associate lady assumed i was going to steal a purse from a display set and came speed walking to me saying “hey! are you finding everything okay?” i said yes and she walked off but kept a distance to watch me still. I felt uncomfortable by then because she was still looking at me from a distance while a customer was chatting to her. I felt like I was being racially profiled and just walked out the building :/

  I went for men’s clothing. Great selection and cheap prices. Better quality clothes and lower prices than Target for casual wear, but also with options for higher end clothes as well. Just pay attention to signage.
