  had a disappointing experience at Bass Pro Shops this morning. I arrived around 9:00 a.m. when the store was nearly empty and was browsing the offshore fishing lure section. While I was shopping, I felt intimidated because what appeared to be loss prevention or undercover security personnel repeatedly walked through the same aisle and seemed to watch me closely. It made me feel uncomfortable and unwelcome. I had planned on making a large purchase and buying several lures, but because I felt like I was being watched the entire time, I decided to leave with only two lures instead. I understand stores have the right to provide security, but customers should be able to browse without feeling like they’re being singled out. I hope management reviews how security is conducted so legitimate customers can shop comfortably.

  Stopped by Bass Pro while we were in Orlando because I needed to replace some of my fishing gear. I only planned on picking up a few things, but once you start looking around it's hard to leave with just one item. I ended up getting a Shimano Sedona reel, a couple packs of soft plastic baits, some Rapala crankbaits, braided line, and a new tackle box. They had a really good selection and it was nice being able to compare everything in person instead of guessing online. The staff knew their stuff too. I had a few questions about what would work best for bass fishing and they pointed me in the right direction without trying to sell me the most expensive gear. Really good experience overall. If you're into fishing, it's definitely worth stopping by when you're in Orlando.

  Phil in the gun area was great. He will appraise, inspect and be up front about old and new guns that you may bring in. Phil take the time to explain all about the ins and outs about a specific product. He is very knowledgeable.

  I’m not sure what has happened to Bass Pro lately. We went in there with the intention of potentially buying a side-by-side while they were plenty of them, and while we were in there, we were walking around and wanted to get some change as I decided that I wanted to play the shooting game out of nostalgia for when i used to play it when i was younger. nobody was interested in helping to get 8 quarters to play a simple game, but kept directing me to customer service where there were two ladies returning 6 bags of clothing. I expressed that this would take over an hour and i just needed change. Nobody seemed to be interested in helping me so I figured that the customer service would not be there if I wanted to make a purchase this important to buy and transport a side by side. More of a glorified home decor and clothing store now instead of a place committed to it’s longtime customers.

  My son and I have done a lot of business with Art in the Archery department and Sam in the fire arms department. We couldn’t possibly be happier with the level of customer service provided by both of them. We purchased our first bow from Art and our first firearm from Sam so we’re first timers and had a lot of questions and they were amazing with us and truly treated us like family! First class service all the way! Thank you Bass Pro and Sam and Art!!
