  My first visit to the Polo Ralph Lauren store at Dolphin Mall was incredibly disappointing. My family and I came in to exchange a birthday gift for my son. There were two associates at the registers, Catherine and Joycelune, yet neither of them greeted us, acknowledged our presence, or offered to help. We stood there wondering if anyone was ever going to say something as simple as, “Hello, we’ll be with you shortly.” What made the experience even more disappointing was that the manager on duty was walking around the front of the store. I only knew he was the manager because I specifically asked who was in charge. Despite seeing customers waiting, he never acknowledged us or interacted with anyone. Leadership sets the tone for a store, and unfortunately, the lack of customer service seemed to reflect that. The one bright spot was Andrew in the men’s department. We happened to walk by the cologne section, and without us asking, he took the time to share his recommendations and explain the different fragrances. It was such a small gesture, but it showed genuine interest in helping customers. In just a brief interaction, Andrew completely changed my impression of what good customer service at this store could look like. Thank you, Andrew, for being the only employee who made us feel welcome. Ironically, I had recently visited the Coach Outlet in the Florida City Outlets, where every employee greeted customers with a smile and made us feel appreciated from the moment we walked in. That basic level of courtesy was completely missing here. A simple greeting costs nothing, but it makes a huge difference. Unfortunately, this store failed at the most basic aspect of customer service. Unless something changes, I don’t see myself returning. Do better, Polo.

  “Ridiculous and Invasive Return Process“ ⭐️ One star I bought three XL polo shirts for about $14 each and returned only to exchange them for size L. The process was absolutely ridiculous. They asked for so much personal information that the only thing missing was my Social Security number. Why does a simple size exchange require collecting so many personal details? It felt invasive, unnecessary, and honestly made me question what they are doing with customers’ information. I was not returning expensive merchandise or asking for cash—just exchanging three inexpensive shirts for a different size. This experience made me extremely uncomfortable. Ralph Lauren needs to review this policy because customers should not have to surrender excessive personal information for such a basic exchange. Horrible customer service and a terrible experience.
