  **Update 8/21/26- Corporate reached out and provided a gift card to my wife for the item they refused to allow an exchange for since it was 4 days past the cutoff. We greatly appreciate that gesture, however them not allowing their managers to have discretion is completely ridiculous. Upgrading our rating from 1 star to 3 stars since they made it right but we won’t be shopping with them moving forward. I urge you to study Costco and learn how to treat your customers and employees ** No one should shop at this store or at this brand. They have 0 ability to place themselves in the customers shoes or show an ounce of empathy. My wife was treated disgustingly rude when she visited there on 8/16/26 by a young 20ish year old brown hair female employee and then by the female manager on the phone over an exchange request 4 days after the 30 day window. Come to find out I called corporate and they revealed that the store managers and the district managers have no authority to exercise any override of the return policy. If corporate can’t trust their general managers and managers with discretion then that’s a major problem. They have now lost a lifetime customer in my wife and we will be sure to tell everyone we know to never shop with this brand ever again. I opened ticket number 850442 with corporate and also filed a better business bureau complaint. I’m sure their CEO would like to know that a $50 exchange now cost them multiple customers that would’ve spent tens of thousands of dollars over their lifetime at their brand. Great job express!

  I shop here all the time and spend a ton of money there. I was traveling for work and didn’t get back in time to return 1 item that was 4 days past the 30 day return period. The item was brand new with tags still on it and still carried in the store. All I wanted was store credit. I was treated so rudely and they showed 0 desire to help or offer any assistance whatsoever. I then called and spoke to a manager over the phone and she was extremely rude as well. I will never shop at express again and will be sure to tell everyone I know not to as well. I’m also filing a complaint with corporate and filing a better business bureau complaint against this store and the manager. Absolutely atrocious customer service. Do yourself a favor and study Costco and how they treat their customers because you lost this one for life.
