- UGUnique GnannDec 23, 20201.0I've shopped here since i was 16. I am now 29 years old. At first i got looked at like I was lost due to my skin color the minute I walked in The door. ( I'm white) yesterday my husband and I did our xmas shopping there as we do every year. And while ringing up our items the cashier stated the price on a pair of shoes was wrong..( I stepped out on the phone while he was getting rung up)idk what the difference in price was exactly but near 20$. but he decided to pass on them. He paid we left. Went next door to shop. About 10 minutes later law enforcment approached me. Asked for my ID and asked who was shopping with me inside citi trends. Didnt even explain why he needed my ID. My husband walked over to us to see what was up. Law enforcement goes back inside citi trends and leaves us standing there. He returns to his cruiser gets paper work and comes to us. He explains that the cashier stated we had traded the tag out on the shoes and that they have seen me do this before today..that took me by surprise. First off he had the shoes and he paid so why are you coming at me about it then falsifying incidents. Plus he chose not to buy them so how is that theft? We both were given a no tresspassing order. We were guilty until proven innocent pretty much. Its a shame. I will NEVER spend another penny towards this company.
