  It’s truly peculiar how employees purposely do not greet people of color when they enter their store. My mom and I walked in at two different times, but neither of us was greeted. It wasn’t crowded either. When another lady walked in right after my mom, they were immediately greeted. Usually, I don’t care about things like this, but it felt pretty obvious that it was on purpose. This small difference says a lot about the staff’s attitudes and standards, at least at this location. The employees here are too concerned with chatting to each other rather than doing their job!

  I took a star away because nothing was on sale. Military discount loved that amazing sales associate very helpful store organized!

  My wife was searching to find her "next favorite jeans". We were unaware if Madewell jeans, but when visiting the store, we were impressed with variety of types/styles/fit. We took our time and she tried on many options. After many attempts, she was unable to find what she was looking for and decided to try another day. If that was the end of the story, there would be no headlines. But, It was then I went to the manager and asked if it was their policy to not only ignor, but actively avoid assisting customers that were obviously there for approx. 30 minutes. The manager fell over herself apologizing, and offering assistance and future discounts. At the prices they are asking, no retailer can expect customers to accept this level of service.

  Worst experience I’ve ever had at a retail store. I bought an item and the cashier gave me the wrong product, but still charged me for the one I actually wanted. I had to waste my time driving back and forth just to get their mistake fixed. Completely unacceptable. I will never shop here again.
