  I almost never give out five‑star ratings, but the team at DSW in the St. Johns Town Center truly earned it. I visited on Sunday (9/13/2026) with a coupon I received in the mail. Buying shoes is usually difficult for me because most pairs hurt my feet, but I found a perfect pair of soft suede loafers. A very kind British gentleman helped me—unfortunately I forgot his name, and I’m only mentioning his accent to identify him, not to profile him. He was outstanding. He confirmed my coupon was valid and even took the time to explain how DSW’s coupons and promotions work. His attentive nature and genuine knowledge are incredibly rare in today’s customer service culture. At the register, the cashier (also wonderful, and I regret forgetting her name as well) asked if I wanted to add a protective coating for a few dollars. She didn’t pressure me; she simply explained the benefits. I agreed, and I’m so glad I did—because that coating saved my new suede loafers during a recent Florida downpour. I’ve been a customer service professional since 2006—that’s 20 years—and I know what good service looks like. Between the helpful cashier and the knowledgeable British associate, this team delivered exceptional service. When my next paycheck arrives, I’ll be back for another pair of shoes. Great job to the DSW team at St. Johns Town Center. Thank you for being so knowledgeable, attentive, and genuinely helpful.

  Customer service was HORRIBLE! When I walked in NO ONE greeted me and it was about 5 reps on the floor. Could have saved me some time in that overwhelming store ( I usually shop online had a shoe emergency). I spent $120 on a pair of Sam Edelman shoes and if it wasn’t for one of the other customers telling me how good they looked on me, I was ready to leave them there thanks to the customer service. Then, I get to the register the lady at the register was rude as you know what! I said thank you after my purchase she rolls her eyes and says “Ummhmm”. The freaking nerve! No you welcome have a great day. You guys should do better at getting people that actually want to work!

  Alex went above and beyond to take care of us! She let us know all of the offers going on and made sure we got the best deal possible. My go-to shoe store now. 😊

  Don deserves a shout out for his amazing customer service. He was quick efficient and very kind. He helped me place three orders for shoes for my husband and my mother because the sizes we needed were not available in the store. He made sure everything was correct before placing the orders and checked the shoes to ensure they were the right ones. Thank you Don for making the whole process so easy. He deserves to be recognized for his kindness and thoughtfulness.
