- MHMoira HageneMay 23, 20261.0Worst jewelry. My daughter bought me a necklace for Christmas. Was not told it was gold plated. Thankfully she paid extra for the protection plan. (More wasted money) Within the 4 months I had it I returned it 5 times to be repaired. Within a day or 2 it would start turning black. Donna in jewelry told me it was my fault because and I quote " Jewelry is not meant to be worn 24/7". I asked if she took off her wedding ring she told me she was divorced. I understand why. She told me it would continue to tarish as long as I wore it because it was gold plated. If you look very closely at the tag it says gos which means gold over silver. That is their idea of disclosure. Her attitude was horrible. After the 5th time they gave me store credit for the purchase price. Even though I had told them the last 2 times I had returned it I did not want store credit. The first time I returned it was within the return date. The whole thing has completely turned me off from belk and I tell all my friends and family to avoid that place.
