I contacted them beforehand, provided clear photos of a massive, 25-inch (63 cm) authentic art-foundry hot-cast bronze ballerina sculpture with a premium bi-chrome patina. They saw the quality, said it "sounds good," and explicitly pressured me to bring it into their showroom to make a serious offer.They made me haul a heavy, collector-grade bronze all the way to their 20,000 sq ft facility, only to pull the oldest, cheapest dealer scam in the book. Once I put the piece on the table, the guy looked me in the eye and low-balled me with an insulting $200 offer for a piece they would easily retail on their floor for $3,000 to $4,000.When I directly asked if he was joking, he had the audacity to try to lecture me that "this is how art works" and claimed he has sculptures for $300. Let's be clear: nobody sells a flawless, large-scale, dual-stamped art-foundry bronze with hand-chased anatomical finger/nail details for $300. He just wanted to exploit a private seller, hoping I’d be too tired to haul the heavy piece back to my car and leave it for pennies.They play dirty, use bait-and-switch tactics to trap you inside their store, and treat genuine art like garage sale junk to maximize their predatory margins. If you have high-end items, do NOT bring them here. They will disrespect your time, your effort, and your art. Take your business to professional auction houses in Naples or Sarasota that treat people with respect. Complete sharks!
