We provide pre-paid U.S.P.S. shipping to our clients. If you choose to ship at your own expense, we recommend insuring your shipments through the United States Post Office with a shipping option that balances cost and delivery time according to your needs. How much are my items worth?

We determine value based on purity, weight, market price, and quantity. Purity refers to the actual precious metal content of the items being evaluated. Weight is calculated using the Troy system, consisting of Troy ounces and Troy pennyweights (1/20 of a Troy ounce). Market price is established by the current NY Commodities Exchange spot price on the day we receive your shipment. Quantity is determined by the total weight of your complete shipment. How much should I declare for insuring my items?

While lost packages are extremely rare with the United States Postal Service, we recommend postal insurance in case of any mishap. Packages should be insured for the minimum amount needed to cover the replacement cost of the items inside. Excessive insurance increases shipping costs significantly and won't result in higher payment if a claim is filed with the carrier for loss or damage. Claim payments are based on proof of value or cost and may require supporting documentation such as original purchase receipts, appraisals, photographs, and similar materials.

How do I track my shipment?

Tracking is available online at www.usps.com for packages sent via insured mail (first class or priority), express mail, or registered mail. You can confirm your package's status by entering the article number from the receipt provided by the post office. The article number must be entered exactly as it appears on the receipt, including all numbers and letters. You'll likely receive our notification of package receipt and our purchase offer before the post office updates the delivery status.

They'll require documentation and proof of value for the shipment and typically provide compensation payment within 30 days. If we're unable to reach you or receive a response to our quotation, we'll send payment using your previously selected option after 48 hours of receiving your package to avoid unnecessary delays.

What if I decide not to sell my items?

If you choose not to accept our purchase offer at the time of quotation, we'll return your items at our expense. We're unable to reimburse original shipping costs for items returned to you. If you received a check without quotation confirmation (see above), simply call us to let us know you're returning the check, and we'll ship your items back to you at our expense once we receive it.

How soon can I get the payment for my items?

We offer same-day payment by bank wire. We also provide direct deposit, overnight checks, and checks by mail. Fees apply for overnight checks and bank wires. Review the fee information here. In all cases, you'll receive your payment before you would receive another gold buyer's mail-in kit. Payments made to your PayPal account are same-day; however, PayPal will deduct fees according to their current fee schedule for your account.
