Ignition interlock devices require regular calibrations that will vary depending on your state's regulations. State regulations require your device to be calibrated anywhere from every 30 to every 180 days. Ignition interlock device calibration ensures that your car breathalyzer accurately reads and records your BAC every time it is used.

Ignition interlock device installation typically takes around 1-2 hours depending on the make and model of your vehicle. You have the option to drop off your vehicle and pick up at a later time or wait in the provider waiting area while your car breathalyzer is installed.

Removal of your ignition interlock device is a quick and simple process. Your service provider will remove your car breathalyzer from your vehicle and return it to LifeSafer for you. Be sure to only have your ignition interlock device removed by a certified LifeSafer installer/provider.
