  spent 20 min at the tackle counter waiting to just be acknowledged that I was there and to be asked what I could be helped with. The 2 gentleman behind the counter never acknowledged me or greeted me. It wasnt until another lady that works in a different department asked me if I was being helped. when I replied no she asked what I needed and when I informed her that I need the reel spooled she said "you dont want me doing that" and said they would be right with me. after another 10 min of waiting and STILL not even a greeting or acknowledgment I left. Either there isn't any customer training taking place or they are not applying the training at that facility. Unfortunate.

  An absolute experience when you’re visiting the States — Bass Pro is a must-see! 😅 Definitely worth spending at least 2 hours there every time. Highly recommended!

  I went into Bass Pro looking for SPF gloves for fishing, and Carol made the experience exceptional. She treated me like a long-lost friend from the moment I walked in. She patiently explained all the SPF glove options and then mentioned some great clothing sales — not in a pushy way at all, just genuinely trying to help me find what I needed. Carol was knowledgeable, friendly, and truly customer-focused. Bass Pro is lucky to have her!

  On Monday, March 23, my family and I drove to Destin for a doctor appointment. Since we were already out there early, we stopped by the Destin Commons mall to do a little shopping. While inside the Bass Pro Shop, we were looking at the fish aquarium when a man approached me about a “special vacation promotion.” He was very persistent. I specifically asked him if this was a timeshare, and he told me directly: “No.” Eventually, after enough pressure, I agreed to it and paid $200 with my credit card for what was described as a 2-night, 3-day Hilton resort vacation package. I was told I had around 1.5 years to book the trip. A few weeks later, I went to actually set everything up — and surprise, it absolutely WAS a timeshare presentation. Not only did the paperwork require attendance at a timeshare sales meeting, but it also had income minimum requirements to even qualify. That was never honestly explained up front. I immediately called the company and got bounced around through multiple departments. When I finally reached someone, they spent more time trying to sell me additional offers than helping me cancel. I explained clearly that I wanted a vacation package, not a timeshare sales pitch. Their response was basically: “Too bad, you’re outside the 30-day cancellation window.” It had been 34 days. So I contacted Bass Pro Shop in Destin directly. A manager named Page told me she would look into it and call me back. She never did. A couple days later I called again and spoke with another manager, Shawn. He agreed the situation “wasn’t right” and said he would speak with Don, the store manager, and call me back the next day. Again — no callback. After more unanswered calls, I eventually got through from a different phone number. Shawn apologized for not following up and told me he had emailed Don, but Don “didn’t want to do anything about it.” He also said there was nothing he could do either. The most frustrating part of all of this isn’t even the $200. It’s being directly told something was NOT a timeshare in order to make a sale, then getting ignored once I tried to address it respectfully. Just wanted to share my experience so other families are aware before agreeing to these “vacation promotions” inside Bass Pro Shop Destin. --EDIT-- Frances Dow from Hilton reached out to me after seeing this review. She listened to the issue and asked 1 last time, don't I want the vacation...take the vacation lol.... I said no thank you and she kindly refunded my $199 and even told me to keep the $50 gift card. I'm very happy to have my money back but still a bit sore from the situation. I def won't visit the local bass pro again as the mgt dodged my calls and made it a real pain.
