    I just bought something and went to the beauty section and one lady called Maddy she didn’t really trying to help me, just gave me a bad attitude and rolls eyes on me don’t like her at all

    Very disappointed with my experience at JCPenney. I attempted to return nearly $400 worth of merchandise that still had all the original tags attached, and I also had the original receipt. Despite this, the store refused to accept the return because it was beyond their 60-day return window. What makes this even more frustrating is that the return policy is not clearly stated on the receipt, nor is there any noticeable signage at the checkout area explaining this limitation. I explained to the store manager that customers should be clearly informed about important return restrictions at the time of purchase, either on the receipt or through visible signage at the register. Unfortunately, my concerns were dismissed, and the manager showed little interest in listening or addressing the issue. As a result, I am left with nearly $400 worth of merchandise that cannot be returned, even though the items are unused, still have their original tags attached, and I have the receipt. This experience reflects poor customer service and a lack of transparency regarding return policies. I expected much better from JCPenney.

    I returned an item and the cashier told me the refund should show up on my credit card in a few days. After a week, still no refund. I called and was told it could take two weeks. After two weeks, I called again and was told I would have to go to the store where I made the return. The receipt showed that the return was made manually and to a different credit card. I was told it would have to be investigated. After a month, still no information. I went to the store several times to get my refund, only to be told the correct person was not working that day. Still no refund. I think it is obvious the cashier applied that refund to her own account, or a friends. Whatever the case, I am still out my refund!!! Unbelievable.

    I had a very disappointing experience shopping at JCPenney during the Memorial Day sale. From the moment I walked in, staff looked at me and looked away with no acknowledgment or greeting. The customers were actually friendlier than the employees. I’m very specific about sizing — I wear sizes like 29x30 and 30x30 — and finding clothing in those sizes was extremely difficult. I spent over 20 minutes searching through clearance racks and multiple sections just trying to find dress pants and other items that fit. On top of that, the clothing areas were completely disorganized. Pants were on the wrong hangers, sizes didn’t match the labels, and I had to check every single pair individually because nothing was straightened up properly. What frustrated me most was the pricing. Several products were displayed under sale signs that made it appear they were discounted, so naturally I expected to pay those prices at the register. Instead, I was hit with major sticker shock. I intentionally picked certain pants because I believed one pair was $59.95 and another was around $25, keeping me within my budget of about $200 since I still needed to shop for shoes, workout clothes, and home items afterward. At checkout, my total came to around $285 because the pants apparently were not actually part of the sale I believed they were under. I could have afforded it, but that’s not the point. I did not want to spend that much at this store based on the condition of the shopping experience and what felt like misleading pricing placement. The most frustrating part is that there appeared to be plenty of staff in the store, yet the areas near the fitting rooms and registers were still in complete disarray. Employees were standing around talking while racks were messy, clothing was misplaced, and pricing confusion was happening across an entire row of merchandise. After I pointed out the issue, an employee continued scanning items instead of immediately removing or correcting the misleading signage or misplaced clothing. That made no sense to me. I will say the cashier and the supervisor who came over were both very polite and professional. The supervisor especially handled the situation well and genuinely seemed like he was trying to help during a busy time. Customer service when addressing the issue was good — but the issue should never have existed in the first place. Another issue was the toy section near the registers. One child was throwing a ball around, and I was actually hit while waiting. It didn’t hurt, but it was unnecessary and added to the chaotic atmosphere. Overall, my biggest issue was the mismatch between the prices being charged and the condition/value of the shopping experience. I’m not against paying higher prices for quality products, and I actually liked several of the items I found. But if I’m expected to pay $80 for a pair of pants, I expect an organized store, accurate pricing, and attentive staff. I left extremely disappointed because I genuinely wanted to purchase the items I selected. Instead, I walked away feeling like my time was wasted and that the store was poorly managed during what should have been one of its most organized sale weekends.
