I took my dad here for Father’s Day, and it was his first time visiting Bass Pro Shops Outdoor World in Dania Beach. I wanted to take him somewhere I knew he would enjoy, and it turned out to be a fantastic choice.
The experience started before we even walked through the doors. A friendly young couple passing by wished my dad a Happy Father’s Day, which immediately set a positive tone for the visit. It felt like the kind of place where people are in a good mood and enjoying themselves.
The store itself is enormous. If you’re planning a visit, I recommend giving yourself plenty of time because there is so much to see. Despite its size, everything is well organized, clearly labeled, and easy to navigate. The atmosphere has that classic outdoor lodge feel, with high ceilings, beautiful displays, and plenty of room to explore without feeling crowded.
One of the highlights is the incredible wildlife and nature exhibits throughout the store. The large waterfall toward the back, complete with live fish swimming below, is absolutely beautiful and makes for great photos and videos. I also enjoyed the displays featuring Florida wildlife, including panthers, birds, fish, and other native animals. The attention to detail is impressive and makes the store feel like part outdoor museum, part shopping destination.
As for shopping, they seem to have everything an outdoor enthusiast could want. We saw fishing rods, tackle, camping gear, clothing, shoes, hats, backpacks, travel accessories, and more. There were even travel packages being offered for outdoor destinations like the Ozarks. The gentleman who spoke with us about those trips was professional, knowledgeable, and very pleasant to talk to.
Even if you’re not particularly into fishing, hunting, or camping, I still recommend stopping by. It’s a fun place to walk around, discover new products, and enjoy the displays. You may end up finding something you didn’t know you wanted.
I also noticed that there is a restaurant on-site. It appears to be accessible from both inside and outside the store. If you enter from the outside, you’ll pass a scenic area near the shark display and a small bridge, which makes for another nice photo opportunity. We visited later in the day and didn’t have time to try the restaurant, but it looked inviting.
A special thank you to our cashier, Enzo, who was wonderful. He took the time to engage with my dad, wish him a Happy Father’s Day, and even share a little about his own father. Small interactions like that make a big difference. As a fun bonus, one of the boat-themed checkout stations was named “Pilar,” which happens to be my name, so of course I got a kick out of that.
We left with a Bass Pro Shops hat for my dad, some snacks, and a few other items, but more importantly, we left with a great Father’s Day memory. Plenty of parking, friendly staff, beautiful displays, and a unique atmosphere make this a place I would happily visit again.
Highly recommended for outdoor enthusiasts, families, and anyone looking for a fun way to spend a few hours.

My experience at Bass Pro Shops in Dania Beach was extremely disappointing.
On June 16, 2026, at approximately 8:00 PM, I returned to the store to follow up on a firearm purchase after completing all required paperwork, fees, and the background check process.
I fully understand and respect the importance of firearm safety regulations and background checks. My concern is not with the process itself but with the way I was treated.
During the interaction, I experienced what I perceived as a hostile and unprofessional attitude from staff members. I was asked additional questions that had never been explained during the original transaction, and instead of receiving clear guidance, I felt as though I was being treated with suspicion.
As a woman whose primary language is not English, I felt that the communication lacked patience, professionalism, and respect. Important information regarding additional procedures and possible delays was not properly explained until much later in the process.
The experience became so uncomfortable that I decided to cancel the purchase. A supervisor became involved, but he was not wearing visible identification. Although he eventually spoke to me in Spanish, the overall conversation felt intimidating rather than helpful.
My issue is not with the legal requirements involved in firearm purchases. My issue is with the poor customer service, lack of communication, and the way I was made to feel throughout the interaction.
No customer following the law and complying with all requirements should leave a store feeling embarrassed, intimidated, or unfairly scrutinized.
I hope management reviews this incident and takes steps to improve employee training, communication, and customer service standards.
Note: I used this email because I am scared now from retaliation.
